Pax Psychiatric Associates provides mental health treatment including comprehensive assessment, individual therapy and medication management for a wide variety of conditions including anxiety, depression, mood disorders and attention-deficit disorder.
Services can be privately paid or billed through certain insurance providers. Pax Psychiatric providers are currently in-network with the following insurance plans – Blue Cross/Blue Shield (HMO and PPO), Harvard Pilgrim, United Healthcare, United Behavioral Health, Allways, and Health Plans, Inc.
Pax Psychiatric providers are out-of-network with all other insurances. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health care benefits, and will reimburse you for a percentage of the cost of sessions. Be sure to check with your insurance provider regarding those details.
Please note, the No Surprises Act (NSA) went into effect on 1/1/2022. Under this law, health care providers must give clients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychiatric and psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment. For more information about the NSA, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
Cancellation Policy Effective 1/1/2022
When you schedule an appointment with a Pax Psychiatric provider, that time is reserved for you. We do provide appointment reminders as a courtesy. This should not be relied on to remember your appointment time. It is your responsibility to keep track of your appointment. If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, Pax Psychiatric Associates requires a 48-hour notice of cancellation. This can be done via email or telephone.
The following fees will be incurred for any cancellations made with less then 48-hour notice – $100 fee for notification between 48-24 hours and $175 fee for less than 24 hour notice and/or no show. Please note that any late fees accrued are the sole responsibility of the patient and cannot be billed to insurance. Additionally, if you are more than 15 minutes late, the full cancellation fee will apply.
